fork lowering internally

I'll try this again. I asked a few months ago if anyone had lowered their forks internally (shortened travel) and didn't get a response. Planning to cut springs and drop. I'm having a hard time finding someone to rake the head tube so raked trees and lowered forks are the only option. I'm going for the not so bump friendly frame 3" off the ground look. Any suggestions other than the springs being cut, is there kit available that I don't know about that anyone may have seen? Definitely not cutting dampening rods. springs are easier to replace than the entire shock. Thanks

R1 forks are the quickest way to lower and you end up with improved dampening and rebound characteristics. 02/03 model R1 forks drop the front down about an inch. For the same or possibly more money Race Tech can alter and revalve your forks as well. Race Techs reputation is second to none. Your choice, I went with the first option.
