They dont even have to be dual filament....thats only if you wanna keep them as both running lights and turnsignals.I just have the barend turnsignals and they are only single filament.

If you eliminate the front running lights you will encounter electrical problems when shutting the bike down in gear.

You need to install a resistor or a small bulb in the running light circuit so the ECU thinks all is well.

Reminds me of the movie "TRON". The CPU is in control.

Also, be careful of the LED vs. Halogen consideration... resistances are different, but I'm sure you knew that.

 

when i removed my front sigs i had no problem, at one time i had no front are rear lights with no problem i later installed single filaments on the front and rear and have no problems. i have heard a lot of people with electrical problems when messing with sigs but i have never had any. just good luck i guess
