Okay, I installed chrome fork tube covers and am putting everything back together and can't get the front wheel centered. The right rotor is tight up against the fender mount, while the left has lots of clearance. I've tried swapping the spacers, checked for dirt behind them, loosening up the pinch bolts and jockeying the forks up or down. Every time, it ends up in the same position. Anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong?

not to sound like a smart ***, but that tire/wheel is directional. do you have the embossed letters facing to the left? if they are, and you haven't pulled the bearings, i have no idea.

The wheel is directional as well as the tire.

Flip the wheel around 180* -- front to back & it will fit.

It's very odd that it would be tight against the "right" fender mount. The axel is inserted from the right side, so one would think that if the axel got hung up on anything (i.e. a bearing or sleeve)it would "push" the wheel to the left. Did you lube everything up real good?
