I've been looking at billet mirrors for quite a while. For one thing the price is crazy high...ok, I can live with that. All the billet chrome stuff is high. But there was always something I didn't like about the design. Too much like stock or crazy and useless looking.
I found this ad while searching. Kinda liked the looks...what? $35, free shipping? What the ****, it wouldn't be the first time a threw away thirty five bucks. I ordered them and three days later they were delivered. To my surprise they look **** good. I mean, they aren't $250 Kury's but pretty nice looking mirrors. Come with all the mounting hardware including the Yamaha adapters.
If you like the looks, don't hesitate to try a pair.

Chrome Billet Mirrors (GRIM REAPER) for Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, BMW, Ducati, Triumph any metric
For $35.00, don't expect too much in the way of quality...and their ability to resist spinning out of the handlebars on the road! ;) But, one never knows til ya try them!! Good luck!

If you want a good set of mirrors try out the Rizoma Dynamic's from pjsparts.com. $73 each. Solid, and sexy.

It does make you wonder, doesn't it? If they 'retail for $199.99', then how can they be selling for $34.99? And knowing that we usually (not always) get what we pay for?

But, unless your family is starving, it really doesn't hurt to toss $34.99 at them to give them a try.

I have a set of $35 bar-end mirrors that I've enjoyed for a couple years now without issue. So, it's all good in my book... :)

I think they look sharp man.

With the economy kinda in the toilet...a lot of manufacturers are selling there stuff baisically at cost just to keep the doors open and to get their name out there.

IT IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY STUFF IF YA GOT THE SPARE CASH!

For example...I got my 09 Warrior a month ago brand new for $8,999 and tax free (Valentine's day sale).

Now they did get me to agree to a service plan and extended warranty. I was able to afford that because I got the bike for so little. For the next 3 years the only money going into the bike will be gas and mods and tires. Now, if the dealership would not have had that deal (the $8,999)going on...they would have never gotten me in the door to buy a new Warrior. Since they got me in...I then bought extra stuff. They baisically break even or lose money on the bike (thought they get a kick back from Yamaha). But that service plan/warranty keeps their employees paid and the doors open.

Now lets say you are impressed with your mirrors. You will be way more likely to buy a sissy bar from this brand or luggage or something like that.

It is great marketing. Everyone wins!

Right now is a great time to get good deals.

I just installed the pair I ordered last week. They seem to have a good quality. The ene problem I had iis that when they arrived they came with the wrong mounting adapters(two left sides). I just found a black bolt in the garage to attach the right mirror. I haven't tested them out riding but I will do that tomorrow.

Used them last night. Smaller than stock for sure, but the length puts them where you are seeing the same area behind you. No problem getting used to them at all. I installed them with the horizontal section parallel with my grips and they needed just a little adjusting when I sat on the bike. The size fits the lines of the bike well I think. I even got to look at a Statie sitting behind me at a stop sign giving me the "oh no you didn't just do that" look haha.

I've ridden a full year with a set of demons mirrors, worth more than 35 bucks for sure. They did require some loctite and cure time but after that they don't spin out or loosin, I'd say give them a try. And the part i liked over other cheap mirrors is the mirror is true glass. There heavy enough to cut down on vibrations aswell.

They ARE heavy, no vibration at all. And I forgot about the optical clarity- very sharp and clear. Mine came with some kind of thread loc already applied so we'll see how tight they stay. This has to be the best mirror deal around.
Slightly of the subject though...can anyone explain Yamaha's logic behind the left hand-right hand threads on their mirrors? Man, you start adding the universal adapters and it's like your brain can't make your hands turn them the right way the first 3 times you try to tighten them up!!!!!

After working in the moto parts industry for a few years in college, i have to say that I am VERY impressed with these mirrors. I have seen quite a few sub $50 mirrors in my time go onto bikes, and these ones are nothing like those. I could easily see someone seeing this on display in shop and not having a problem paying $100+ retail for them.

any updated reviews of these mirrors? I need to order a new set as my current cheapies are sucking. The left mirror for some reason wont hold position anymore, it sags down a bit. I like these mirrors for $35.

when you installed them did the joints to adjust the tilt and direction of the mirror tighten good?

I just installed the grim reaper mirrors (chrome) from Demon Cycle yesterday, and love them. They were pretty stiff to adjust which is good, and I did not notice any vibration issues. They held tight for the 10 mile ride yesterday. They are smaller than stock, but adequate once you get them adjusted. I was debating on getting the grim reaper mirrors, or the claw mirrors, but am really glad I chose the reapers. I think the claw mirrors would have been to small for functionality.
Now I am waiting for my DDMtuning.com HID to arrive. Thanks for the write up on that Matrix311.
