A couple of us had this discussion a couple of weeks ago. I WANT YOU TO TRY THIS, once you get your bike started try squirting some spray brake cleaner or WD-40 around the intake manifolds or anyplace else you added or removed air cleaner stuff. If the idle jumps up you've got a leak.
I had an intake leak and when i sprayed WD-40 or starting fluid on where it leaked it would almost stall the motor instead of it raising the idle. I think if you have a leak and spray in what ever you use it floods the bike and lowers the idle. This is just my experience with doing this procedure with the leaks i had. Just adding this in there in case someone else's bike reacts the same way, you will know you still have a leak.
