After being in a few large rides I have noticed while looking in the mirror, the Warrior headlights show up quite poorly in the daylight (due to the different reflectors) compared to the other Roadstar bikes. So for safety's sake, if you want to be seen by the others on the road you may want to run on high beam during the daytime.

You are right! I ALWAYS run with my high beams on during the day. Will I blind someone during the day??? NO! Will they see me? YES! That's all that matters. It's also a good idea to get a PIAA extreme white bulb. Search PIAA bulbs and you will find a good thread on this including best place to buy.

Always run the high beam during the day. We need to use everything we possibly can to keep the cagers from running into us. I run it at night a lot too for the same reason that stainless said: cars just don't pull out in front of you as much. I'll have to try the extreme white bulb for the daytime effect.

Was wondering, my bud and I bought some high intensity bulbs thru ebay, after 3 weeks his wire harness to the bulb got melted and my bulb burned out after about 5 weeks of riding. Could have been pure coincidence but we went back to stock bulbs. Are there certain brands which are more reliable?

I have noticed as well that my Warrior headlight is a little dim on low beam in reflections ahead of me. It is Warp factor 10 for my light all the time day or night. I am comforted when somebody flicks their lights at me at night, they see my light.

Does the PIAA extreme change the shape of the beam? I don't ride at night much, but when I have, the stock lamp seems to have a very square beam pattern. It seems like I could draw a line about 50ft in front of me light/dark!

I just didn't know if this is a function of the lamp or the headlight housing's reflector.

Any input would be appreciatied.

Here's what I've noticed so far. The stock bulb sucks. I have tried the "Extreme" bulbs in the same wattage as the stock ones, 55/60...anything higher will melt plastic. I've also tried the Silvania Silverstar. The Silverstar produces a bright white light...and works very well at night and is visible during the day on high-beam. The PIAA style bulbs produced a blue light...which jumps out during the day on high-beam...very hard to miss. But at night, it's very ineffective. I've heard the scientific explanation...ssomething about not producing enough violet light...whatever it is, the "Extreme" bulbs with the blue tint are pretty useless at night. Stay with white...I wouldn't recommend hte blue tinted one. And high-beam on 99.9% of the time...only if I'm in traffic, at night in the city will I run with only the low beam at night.
