HELP-internal wiring of rad bars problem

i wired my radius bars this past weekend and not suprisingly i have a problem, when i turn the key on (do not start bike) the front blinkers come on steady and the rear blinkers do not come on at all. when i start the bike nothing changes, the fronts stay on and the backs do not come on at all. i tried putting on both the left and right blinkers with the switch on the bars, nothing happens they dont blink, just stay the way they are.

everything else works fine: headlight(hi & lo), brakelight, horn, kill switch, tach, neutral light

i soldered all my connections and heat shrinked all the solder joints, the only thing i can think of is that i have a short in the bar somewhere, i have not checked an of the fuses or for any loose connections in the headlight cone, i will check as soon as i get home from work, just trying to see if i am overlooking something obvious

thansk in advance for the input

Liquid,
Been there, done that. When I did my internal wires, one of the wires scraped off it's insulation inside the handkebar and shorted the blinker. Use colored schematic in back of service manual to figure out which wire is probable short. Sorry to say, you'll probably have to pull the wires out and do it over.DAMHIK.
Suggestion: use a narrower diameter wire. I ended up using 20 gauge and it's worked fine. Pain in the butt to redo all your solders but the end result will be worth it.

I had the same issue. You have wired wrong or you do have a short. The rad bars are very sharp inside. i used a carbide toip and an impact wrench to smooth out the openings. Chances are you will have to ull them out and resolder and rewire unless there is obvious damage. Rad bars look good but the do not take care whn stamping out the openings.

Liquid, Just some advice if you re-wire. Use a cover on the wires I used a nylon heat resitant tightley weaved wire wrapand pulled it through the bars end to end before I ran the rest of the wires. I also offset all the shrink wrapped connections so they would not be bunched up when i pulled them through the bars. Of cours this was on my third attempt!
