Hi, I am a new 2003 Warrior owner and I have a few questions, sorry if they have been asked before:

1) how many people have removed the upper and lower belt guard and does it look nice? Is it easy to remove?

2) how do you remove the seat strap from the stock 2003 seat?

3) Do you recommend the Yamaha T bars from the star catalog(the Drag bars) or Barons drag bars (If barons, which ones give you the most agressive fat look and are they comfortable, THANKS!!

I'll post my thoughts on question #1.

Don't remove the lower belt gaurd IMO. It really does help keep rocks and other bad things out of your belt. But the top gaurd is fair game to remove. Mine's been off for over 20k miles and no problems so far.

I've removed both belt guards...Looks sharp and I haven't had any problems. I'd recommend keeping them if you frequently drive in any gravel but if your on clean roads most of the time, I think they can both go. (Pic with guards removed in my gallery)

I have the Yamaha Double T bars and I love em, but they aren't set up for internal wiring so if you plan on that route, I think the barons are and they are similar. (Yamaha TT Bars are shown in my gallery.)

Nice stable you have there....Exactly what I tell my wife evey guy needs...one Warrior, one sport tourer (I'd kill for a FJR1300AE) and a dirt bike.....you're a lucky man....welcome aboard.

It's been such a long time, I think the seat strap is just a couple turn of the screws. I no longer ride with the oem seat. The belt guards are probably more of an aesthetic thing. I personally like the bling so I have chrome belt guards top/bottom. Condrons is right about the bars. Baron's allows for internal wiring. Do whatever makes you happy, and welcome/emoticons/emotion-5.gif

I personally like the belt gaurds on my midnight, and the extra protection is worth it IMO.
If you want fat bars look at Carlini's or Cruiser Performance.1 1/2" bars as opposed to 1 1/4" Baron's or Yamaha's.Carlini's are real nice.

As far as belt guard goes,...its just your personal preference. i have it on on one bike and off on the other.
Bars are again your preference. I have Barons on one and Cruiser Performance on the other. Both internally wired(after i extended the wires). think they both look good and feel comfortable when riding,....and welcome to the 4m
