I know what you're talking about but I never really notice the hose clamps. Did you angle them to face down?

 

I installed mine towards the bottom, tails down if I recall correctly.

I never see mine. In fact, I've had several people ask me if I actually have heatshields on my pipes.

I think you just need to make sure the bulky part is angled down towards the bottom and you'll be fine.

 

i angled them down, but if your standing back you can see the two in the rear, in between the pipes. the top are facing up, the bottem are down. just the two in the rear on the top pipe really stick out. do you know if you can get different baffles for these? thankyou for your help.

 

just get some chrome wheels and nobody will be looking at the clamps! i don't notice the clamps. yes, you can get quiet baffles for the big shots.

 

has anybody ever heard the quiet baffles? it wasn't so much loudness, i don't like, i think the rolled ends muffle it. doesn't seem to have a crisp, clear, note to it. more like running straight off the header. also, all the way down the top of the top pipe it has small dimples, either from welding hold downs, or, forming. not at all impressed. I will probably try to sell these, and buy a set of hard chrome 3' big straight's.

I noticed a much crisper exhaust note when I tuned my PC3 with the right map. Using stock, un-bumped ECU is way too lean and muffled, even w/ the BigShots.

I don't have any experience with other exhausts, but I really like the bark of the BS's.

 

thanks serrata, i bumped ecu from -3 to +2 on one bank, and -2 to +3 on the other. seems just a little rich, still don't like sound. i'll check it on the emission machine at work one of these day's. thankyou, gary

 

I am in the market for some Big Shots. I really like them but I can understand if you do not. Don't want to jump the gun but if you can't swap them out for what you want, I would maybe buy them from you if the price is worth while???

 

my dad has the HK 3" pipes on his road star and they have a much different sound. the BS's are quite loud, but deep and rumbly. teh hard kromes are crisp and tinny
