has anyone with Ripsaws done the Bak mod here!!??? I was just wondering what kind of gains would be expected. I did some researching but only find what i have seen in the past about the baks. Nothing on specifically RIPSAWS and the BAK. I know i will not get the low end torq that the PROPIPEs would expect, but just wonder how much of a gain i would get.

Redbull;I've got that setup on mine(hommade BAK,rc1290's,ripsaws with hp plus baffles)I'm running the pc 111 map 014(street sweepers,no baffles, stock air cleaner)it seems to work pretty good I guess the added restriction from the baffles offset the added air flow from the bak because it seems to work real well with only minor manual adjustments(within 1 bar of zero)as for performance there was a big improvement in the top end(3000 rpm up)over stock with a little less torque down low(I got a little more of that back when I went to the hp plus baffles from the samson performance rings). These are all seat of the pants observations as I've never had the bike on the dyno, but it hits red line in the first three gears much quicker than the stock set up.

these pipes definately ripped with the performance rings, just could not handle the noise, and the tips make swapping back and forth between baffles a real pain in the ass.I've got a freind with the exact set up as mine only he's using the samson 10" baffles,we have not rode together yet but I have heard it run and I prefer the sound of the hp plus baffles for sure.

Bismarck, with the performance mods you've made to that engine I would think that anything other than wide open would be too restrictive with these pipes seeing as they only have a 1 1/2" dia.I would think something like the reinhert pipes with their stepped design or maybe Rob at O.E. could set you up with some, but they would definately be baffleless.
