I have run 3 V-Rods and beat them all! The problem with the V-rod is the riders don't know how to ride them, they read they have and 11's sec bike in a mag and think they are king. A good friend of mine has one with some Screaming Chicken parts and I smoked his butt. I rode it and it is tough to get it to lay down a good time. You need to launch at a rediculous high RPM then a little to much and the tire spins a little to shy and the bike boogs.
If you are on a track and the v-rod rider is good he will pass you about mid track, so on the street you should be able to stomp his but 10 out of 10 times.
My best advice to anyone who wants to go faster in anything is to got to the drag strip and rent some time. There you will be able to dile in your skills and learn what works and what does not. You can get the best launch RPM the best shift points and such. I have seen to many times the modded car get smoked by bone stockers because the stock driver spent his money where it counted.

Yes, that is true about the torque vs. hp. You put a VRod in my hands and Damion I will toast your Warrior and my Warrior on any street. I launch my Warrior at 3000-3500rpm's when dragging. Took 5 VRod's off the line and smoked them in the 1/8 mile, very close in the 1/4 won a few, lost a few. I sat on the VRod, raced my Warrior and SMOKED my Warrior with buds VRod, easily! So, Yes, it does come down to rider skills and yes, the VRod needs all of its 9500rpm redline, but it will, with authority dust the Warrior in an experienced or not too experienced rider's hands. Every VRod I have raced off the line the Warrior's torque pulls away easily, but hitting 3rd-4th the VRod flies by just like any high rpm sportbike.

DarkStar I agree with what you are saying but again how many good riders are out there? I once beat a guy on a Busa in my Vette. I know dam good and well that the Busa will flat out smoke a vette anyday of the week if the rider has any skill whatso ever but 1 in 500 have any skill.
I still say that if you learn to ride your bike at it's limits you will beat 90% of the bikes out there.
Then you start making HP adders and you can only get better. No the Warrior is no rocket ship but it holds it's own on the street where stop ligh to stop light races are the name of the game.
