Yes, that is true about the torque vs. hp. You put a VRod in my hands and Damion I will toast your Warrior and my Warrior on any street. I launch my Warrior at 3000-3500rpm's when dragging. Took 5 VRod's off the line and smoked them in the 1/8 mile, very close in the 1/4 won a few, lost a few. I sat on the VRod, raced my Warrior and SMOKED my Warrior with buds VRod, easily! So, Yes, it does come down to rider skills and yes, the VRod needs all of its 9500rpm redline, but it will, with authority dust the Warrior in an experienced or not too experienced rider's hands. Every VRod I have raced off the line the Warrior's torque pulls away easily, but hitting 3rd-4th the VRod flies by just like any high rpm sportbike.
