Holy crap I swear I could choke someone right now! Ok, "Readers Digest" version. My bike got smacked up in Daytona during Bike Week (yeah, don't ask[/emoticons/emotion-6.gif]). So I take it to the dealership to get fixed. Well, after battling with the insurance company for 3 freaking weeks (morons at State Farm) I finally get my check and get all the parts ordered. So I call today to check on the status of the parts order and find out that all we are waiting on is the tank. So when I inquire as to when it will be here, they tell me not till MAY 11th! WTF! I have to wait another month with my bike sitting at the dealer. I'm gona blow a gasket!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yeah, I'd buy a dented one on ebay cheap and then change to the new one when it comes in....that is, IF the dealer will release the bike without their part of the job being done. Then resell the dented tank. Should be about 100.00, I see them all the time on ebay, maybe someone on here has a loaner tank they can lend...Check with Onager, he's dented a few![/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]
I don't want to make it worse but that date can change for the worse and usually does at least once. Do yourself a favor and get a dented one from Ebay to use for the summer... I mean month

Ya, they don't do that if you still owe money on it.

I wish I could find the picture of a kid riding the dragon with a red plastic gas can where his gas tank should be. That's determination (and stupidity if he wrecks).

Yeah, sounds like someone doesn't want to ride bad enough yet. I can't believe your really just afraid your friends might see you with a dent. You should just waste a couple of nice riding months while Yamaha gets it in stock.

Yeah man..there is a dented Titanium one here for 100 in the classifieds. I just got one too. You might not get yours from yamaha till december at teh rate they get parts in. /emoticons/emotion-6.gif

There is a tank for your bike on ebay. See the link below. I think it only has a small knick in the paint. Might be able to save some money for other mods and you can get it before May 11. If that is in fact when the great wizard of yamaha will send it to you.[/emoticons/emotion-5.gif]
