Is 1 1/2 inch bars worth waiting?!

I ordered some TT bars from JP cycles with a 1 1/2 inch width. They are telling me now that they are on back order till the end of july, I really want some new bars. The only other ones I can find in that price range are 1 1/4 inch. Thoughts?

also is the pull back going to be a problem hitting my tank? 8 inch rise, 11 1/2 pullback, 32 3/4 width...

You shouldn't have any problems, but it will be close.

I'd wait, that's not long, and you can ride it just fine until then. I've learned to get the mods you want, not the ones that are most available -if you know what I mean. That way you'll be completely satisfied. I'll admit, fatty bars look pretty sweet.

I have super radius bars. This is their dimensions:

Rise: 8 inches
Width: 32-1/2 inches
Handlebar Diameter: 1-1/4 inches
Pullback: 11-1/2 inches

You have the same dimensions. The bars are extremely comfortable. But I've scratched both sides of my tank, because of the little bolts and nuts that hang below the control boxes.

This happened because I rotated my controls so that I could see out of my mirrors.

Normally, the controls wouldn't be close, but apparently my mirrors don't adjust as much as other types. I've since corrected the problem by grinding the bottom of my mirror shaft at an angle, so they angle back slightly and I can see properly.

So: you probably won't have a problem unless you can't see out of your mirrors (the issue is they're closer to you, so you have to angle them up more). If you have an issue with the mirrors, get new mirrors :)

Mine aren't stock mirrors BTW...

I got the ZZ50490 Milwaukee Twins bars from JP Cycles and the switchgear hit the tank both ways. I had to get 1.5" risers for them for another 70 dollars.

The ones I should have bought were these....then there wouldn't have been a problem with the switchgear.

I also recommend Milwaukee Twins. They're usually more than 50 bucks cheaper. If not a hundred.

here's some for $158.

I don't know about hitting the tank, I haven't looked closely at the specs.

But I did just add a 1 inch riser spacer on my Milwaukee Twins Super Radius bars. They're super close and I got tired of fiddling with them.

There may be other Milwaukee Twins 1 1/2 inch bars, I didn't look at them all...

They look nice, and wouldn't hit the tank, and would feel very comfortable I'd think.

But -I bet they have the same problem as the one's I picked -they're probably 3 1/2 inches between riser centers, and it also doesn't state that they're drilled for internal wiring, so I doubt they are. If you're not wiring the bars, then that's not a big deal. but I'd ask about the riser spacing.
