It came off my '02. However, I believe it works on all model years '02-'09. The fender stays and bolt locations are that same through out the years, I believe. The only difference between '02-'03 and '04+ is the seat mount loop on top of the rear fender. If I am wrong about the fender stays, please correct me. I've had the back rest for over 10 years.

The passenger seat is positioned slightly different between 03 and 04. So if its meant for a 02 -03 it will overlap the seat on a 04+

I've had this backrest on the bike when I had a Corbin Dual Tour Seats and there were no issues or interferences. I think that is the biggest bulkiest seat you can have on the Warrior. There shouldn't be any issues of overlap with any seat set up.

Because that seat is for a 02-03. 04 seats fit further back on the fender. The backrest your selling is made for 02-03 years

Per receipt for original purchase of the backrest (March 20, 2011) from racecrafters-usa, the backrest was designed for '02-'09 Warriors. "JARDINE QUICK DETACH BACKREST KIT 02-09 YAMAHA ROADSTAR". So there should be no issues with this backrest fitting '04+ Warriors.

Cool so you guarantee the fitment including freight because you do know the 2004+ seats sit inches further back and many here bumped into troubles with various brands having their passenger back pad not fitting above the passenger seat.

The side fender brackets bolted up fine. But the back pad could not be installed.

Maybe this builder moved the passenger pad higher up. The stock 04+ passenger seat is tall. Mustang and Corbin passenger seats are very tall. If this backrest pad clears those heights then lots of folks would jump-in.

02-03 seats mostly ended a little after the fender loop. Backrests were a bit further back. But the 04+ passenger seat is even further back, introducing the back pad interference trouble. Maybe on this unit they accommodated that. But just because a builder says something fits doesn't make it true as many here are painfully aware.

I hope it does fit!

Maybe you might post a measurement from the center of the fender mount bolt up in elevation to the bottom of the passenger back pad in order to save troubles?
