Are the heat shields for the Jug Huggers easy to remove? It looks like they are held on by metal ties that tighten with a screw. Before I screw up my pipes and remove the shields, am I going find it is harder than I think. I want to remove the shields and powder coat them. If anyone has knowlege, help me out. Thanks

Sorry I missed this post - and also sorry I don't know the answer. I'll bump this up to the top of the pile to give it visibility again and see who can help you.

All the site says is easily removeable: http://bub.com/Yamaha_Warrior.cfm?pa=detail&zsb=0&pn=14-1201CGI don't see a link to the install instructions orsimilar but Bubs makes a big deal about the heat shields on the Juggies being easy to remove.

I'm waiting to hear back from BUB.

Has anyone removed their heat shields on the Jug Huggers? Just wondering if it was harder than it looks or any surprises. Thanks
