I have followed others here who also did this. It was exactly what I wanted for the look and price.


I got the backrest off ebay for $58 and that was with two different size pads.


It only took about 1 hour to do with a hand drill. the pics show the smallest pad.


The other is just a little bigger and sets a little off of the seat.

I too have installed the duece.Used factory holes for the pillion and justdrilled 2 new holes in the duece. I just put a few layers of tape on the bottom side to protect the paint. When tightened, it does leave a small dentin the top center of the fender but even my stilleto seat covers it up so don't bother me none. The wife was prego this summer and just needed a little something back there andI needed something cheap. Looks GREAT and not big and bulky like ones that attach at the stays. It flows a lot better. Keep the mods flowing, looking good!!!

Looks great,nice job.I was thinking of doing the same but have since removed pas seat.Now when she rides she rides on a stick on pillon.Since having our daughter she doesnt get out on bike with me much.
