My only excuse... I was too busy out riding my bike, I have an '04 silver flame bike with the speedstar pipe, T-Bars and acouple other mods that were already done when I bought it a yr and a half ago. As for last winter.. I spent alot of time affixiating myself out in the garage drooling over the bike lol. I can honestly say that I love my bike just about as much as my kids, guess thats why the wife left lmao.

What I'm interested in doing now is getting a lowering kit, I've seen some that are lowerd and I love the look. My question is this... what does it affect on the bike?? I haven't been able to find many details pertaining to this mod.

Also my local Yamaha shop where I purchased the bike is unable to tell me about interchangability of wheels from different yrs of warriors. supposedly they called yamaha and couldn't find any more info. I like the newer 5 spoke wheels, are they the same wheel that the Raider rolls on? Any info is welcomed, and thank you in advance.

Lowering gives you that great look but means you can't lean as far in corners. So you either go slower, shift your butt, send out showers of sparks or get an air kit which gives you the best of both worlds in that you can change it easily for the lowered stylin' look or raised for strafing apexes. Also, if you lower the rear, you should lower the front too by raising the forks in the triple clamps. Keeps the bike balanced but experiment with one change at a time to see what you like. You'll find there's a myriad of possiblities out there for our bikes:}:}

I thought the Warrior (not Raider) wheels are interchangeable but could be wrong on that.

I believe the brake rotors are different. I know the brakes are different on the front. If you're wanting to lower the bike I believe your best bet is adjustable links instead of air suspension. My reasoning is this. Whenever you raise or lower the bike it affects the tension on the drive belt and that's not good.

Now other than that I hope what you said about liking your bike as much as your kids is just BS. If not your priorities are all screwed up.

Well lol not really as much as the kids but definately more than their mother lol. Funny thing there is, now in the div procedeings she asks me if her name is on the bike, "HA F'n HA, Not likely LOL"

So the brakes are different on the newer Warriors you say or the Raider has different rotors? The wheels are something I'm interested in changing but it may be some time before I'm able to that, I like the newer factory wheels and "if" by chance the Raider wheels work on our bikes that'd be cool, but if not...

Now I think the only lowering kit I've seen so far was at "Barons" I've never dealt with this company so far and there wasn't much of a description when I looked at the kit they offered. Any info, tips, or links so that I may read up on this before I make any purchases? I'm sure I'll think of more questions as I start to try and personalize my bike aliittle at a time. I've been talking to a friend about some custom paint. I can already see the dollar signs adding up lol.

Ohiomike had his Raider wheels (or was going to sell) up for sale and I asked if they'd fit a Warrior. If memory serves, they will not fit. Hubs or something critical are different...

Sometimes the way the bike looks is every bit as important as how it rides. Drop the rear it look awesome on this bike.

Tip: Get a 1,000# Eibach rear spring to install same time. You won't regret it.
