If you leave out the shims, on fast take-offs the pegs will fold themselves up and you'll wonder where they went when it's time to shift into second gear. While I have different Kury pegs, I angled them upward to buy a little more space.

 

Thanks wackochango, didn't think about that, fishing around for pegs at high speeds or twisties is not a good thing. Wonder if it's possible to take the clip out and put in a spring like the original peg had so it would push it back down but not freeze the position.

 

I have the ISO wings on the rear for a platform feel. I thought the clips were a little odd though. They're fine for the back but in your case it seems a spring would be better. Get a spring out and play a few games with it and maybe you can come up with a mod for the forum.
