I'm looking to buy a Warrior but I have a question for those out there that are as big as me. I'm 6' 4" and when I try the bike out my knees are pressed out by the Air Cleaners on teh sides of teh engine. Has anyone else had this problem and can I reduse the width of theCleaners for a more comfortable ride?

Most definately. Being that they are mostly covers, there are many options that many have found look better on the warrior over stock. Search our forum with some questions, you'll find more than enough of what your looking for. You could go as far as extending the pegs out various inches to give more leg room. All for pretty cheap pricing. Good luck!

I'd suggest putting a set of forward control extensions on. I'm 6' and the stock ones are too close for me also. I plan on getting the 3" extensions but you being 6'4" I'd suggest the 5" extensions. You can always find these on Ebay and I've heard there pretty good. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Road-Star-Warrior-5-Forward-Control-Extension-Roadstar_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ72Q3a1205Q7c66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a12Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318Q7c301Q3a1Q7c293Q3a1Q7c294Q3a50QQ_trksidZp3286Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem130265466883QQitemZ130265466883QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

OR.... you can always get a VBAK (very big air kit). One of our knowledgeable membershere (Churchkey)makes it and you get gain HP along with removing that "coffin" air cleaner. This is the most recommended air kit on the whole site

I'm 6'-1" and I went with Elite Forward Controls. They put your legs out about 5" forward and 3" higher than stock. Very comfortable.

They are chrome. They move the ugly rear brake reservoir to the front. They won't scrape when you lean. They are available on www.pacificcoaststar.comfor $449.00 http://www.pacificcoaststar.com/pcs/rs_warrior_controls.htm

I did these when I bought the bike, and never looked back. One of the best decisions that I made.

You can also do the VBAK, http://rswarrior.com/forums/p/51921/703555.aspx#703555, and get rid of the right side air filter assembly. You can do a left side cleanup, http://rswarrior.com/forums/p/26568/286460.aspx#286460, and get rid of the huge scoop there to. Do a search on both items that I have underlined, and you'll find tons of info.

Welcome to the Forum! Enjoy!

I am 6' 3" and after installing the ck vbak and 3" extentions it is a much more comfortable ride. Cost about $300 for all the parts and installation was a snap. Still debating about moving to the 5" but the 3" has already helped a ton.

Thats the great thing about this bike. There are aftermarket parts available to make it comfortable for any size person. Don't let the stock riding position influence your decision to buy. Forward controls are all you need, and they are reasonably priced. If you don't want to spend the money on complete forward controls you can get extensions for the stock controls. Much cheaper.
