License bracket and fender ext. mod.

Took the whole license holder and fender extension off and did a triick mod. Undid all the bolts and tail light. Pulled the black fender extender off with tun signals and license plate. Hack sawed the license late light square fitting off and cut the 6 " bottom of the flap off. Drilled 4 holes in the flat facing of whats left of the flap for the license plate. Took a hammer and flatened out my license plate itself. Formed a slight bend in the plate to fit against the flapper. Put it all together and didn't cost a dime for a trick clean rear look.

Now what you see is the rear stop light with the license plate neatly located directly below it and the signals in there normal position. Its clean and custom looking.

Is this the same modification others have done or does your technique differ from the "norm?" Sounds similar to what several others have done here (I just want to clarify, `cause I think the mod. looks good!).

I did the same thing as well about 2 weeks ago. It is an easy mod. However I plan to change it again (in typical billH fashion) cause I don't like the large turn sigs.

What happens to the license plate light? Did you just shunt the wires that led to it, or what?
