Ok I hope this isn't major, and can become a easy fix but I don't know where to start.

Well here's the problem my Warrior feels like it "slipping" when you twist the throttle. It makes a clunk, clunk, clunk sound when you get on it. It doesn't matter which gear you are in when you get on the throttle. It stutters but it's not coming from the engine. It's a trans/clutch problem. It only does it if you twist the throttle. I just drove it 749 miles and it did it the whole time. If you go though the gears slow you don't have a problem but if try to get on normally it sounds like it's going to explode. At first I thought the belt might be to tight but doing the Warrior to Warrior feel with another bike it felt the same. I've had a problem with my clutch/cable since I've had the bike but the 3 times the dealer has not came up with a problem. I know there is and now there is more of a problem. It's still under warranty but I'd rather not take it to the dealer if I didn't have too.

If you have any questions or remedies let me know. It's hard to explain. the feel and sound. I'm afraid to ride it now. I don't want a trans lock up.

Well going into it I've had a clutch problem since I've owned the bike and the dealer thought it was worth a shot since there is a 4 time record for it coming in for a problem. But a shot in the dark was worth a try. Yamaha is not going to go out of there way for anything. They already feel they are for fixing the gear oil problem, so tuff on the other. But Yamaha did tell them to take the clutch apart but all they saw was blued plates.

Well new dealer called me today for a update which I thought was nice. Half the parts came in today. Others are not back ordered but coming from a different supplier so hopes Monday. So hoping latest Thursday to have my bike back. Also found another bolt the other dealer stripped out. So they are replacing that.

All dealers suck, even the good ones. I have been to 4 different ones for my electrical gremlins and it still isn't fixed. it probably never will be. All I've to show for it is repair bills and a dent in my original tank, thet claimed it was there when I dropped it off. Another dealer ripped off the gel pad on the left grip with a strap that was too tight. They didn't tell me until I asked. The glue they used wasn't dry yet and the pad was twisting in my hand. Mu recall dealer treated me like a god and then shat all over DarkStar when I had him go there.

Keep fighting!!!

I signed their guestbook.

quote:Word's out you guys have the worst service department on the planet. Seconded only by you laughable customer service. Congratulations on such a lofty achievement.

I currently own a Warrior and have owned many Yamaha's in the past. I thank God everyday my dealer doesn't have his head up his ass like you.[/emoticons/emotion-4.gif]

Dude,
I hate to say this but you need so get a lawyer involved immediately and sue there asses off. They put you life at risk. They owe you more than a transmission.
This is one of the very few times I could even think about this recomendation.
Don't do another thing until you talk to a lawyer!

Buflow the best part is I don't get a new transmission just a few new parts. I've had a number of people to tell me to get a lawyer but I've never seen anything "good" ever come of suing. i don't need lost time at work, more things for me to worry about right now. I have thought about them buying the bike back then I can get a new one, but I don't think anything good will come of it. I just figure I got the royal screwing. I still may talk to a lawyer my fiancée uncle is one.

Well just got a call from the dealer the bike is done they test rode it yesterday and it's not making any noise and they put gear oil in it. Going to pick it up Friday. Hopefully it won't rain and I can ride it home!!!! It's only been a couple weeks but it seems like forever!

la, just a thought .... while your relationship with your new dealer is going well it is probably worth trying to get some sort of warranty on the work they have done for you from Yamaha - I'm not saying you are expecting problems but if some other part fails in 6 months or a year it will help if you've got some sort of guarantee.

I have to agree with you Bo that you shouldn't get a lawyer involved simply because not much will come out of it. I would get a warranty of some sort in writing explaining exactly what is now covered. I might even treat them like idiots and have them check all the fluids with me standing over them, just to be on the safe side. Also, keep a close eye out for loose bolts and such that they may have "forgotten". When I brought my bike in for the recall they did excellent work but scratched everything up to ****, including the Speedstar scoop. The service manager took one look at it, realized what had happened and ordered me a replacement. Good luck and hope it all runs well!

Good luck with this attempt. You would think that with all the wealth of Yamaha, they could compesate you somehow for going thought all the crap that you have. Like a pocket watch, lol! They must hate us Americans or something...

Well she's home!!!

Rode home great. They showed me the parts and the the gear was trashed and the chain was a nice deep purple color.. I wish I had my camera to take a pic of it. It had real deep groves in it. They have to send it back to Yamaha. Hope this is over!!
