The sight glass on my master cylinder dry rot from the bike sitting. I ordered and replaced the sight glass but now I can't get any front brake at all. I tried to bleed without any luck. Can I gravity feed the master cylinder and if so do I have to tie the brake lever as if I was holding it or leave it alone.

You need the reservoir master cylinder rebuild kit with valving etc. The circuit is plugged with crud.

Also clear out the reservoir port and circuit where the union fastens. And check the cap's diaphragm.

Example for 2002-2005 reservoir:

My sight glass did the same thing (rotted out). I just ordered a generic set of new clutch and brake controls from ebay for like $35 (wanted to switch to black anyway), not the highest quality craftsmanship but they seem to be working great.
