Mini fairing and lower chin: I did it!!

Hi all,
I just installed mini fairing and lower cowl. It took a good couple of hours.
What I'd like to know is:
1. Why mini fairing short screws are so short? (I ended up using the original ones)
2. Why lower cowl left side brackets (left sitting on the bike) are 1-2 cm wider then the frame tube, while right side brackets are so tight you can't move 'em?

I'm not used to mechanics and maybe I did something wrong, so I would like to know if someone had the same problems.

Thx in advance

For the fairing, I used screws 1/4" longer than stock. Check the clearance between the fairing & the leading edge of the tach housing, mine was touching & scratched the tach housing.

The lower brackets just locate the chin spoiler, both sides of mine fit just a little loose. Once the top is tightened its not going anywhere & it does not rattle.

Thx for your help!
Now mount and unmount lower chin is a matter of minutes.
Anyway I bent the brackets and added a stripe of adhesive foam (not on the upper right bracket) on the rounded end.
I also found a trick (WOW) to easily insert the voltage regulator screws: push the screw while slightly moving the chin until the screw "falls" in place. I know its a stupid thing, but if I had known I would've said a lot less of bad words =))
