The pressure Irish put on me, I had to come up with a good name this year....[^] Almost sounds like Borat[/emoticons/emotion-5.gif]

I hope 2008 finds you all well, and with a fresh set of tires for summer. We all should make a plan early this year to get together, and maybe have our own MN rally.

I rode to work yesterday and thought about seeing if you wanted to ride home with me, Mike... but didn't think you'd be up for the ride to Dassel.

I, too, enjoyed the weather, but, man it get's dark early now... I wore my dark shield and it was a bit sketchy from a visibility standpoint at about 5:30. Ihad some fun with a guy on a Honda CBR all the way home -- I think he was pretty surprised to see my taillights from the stop light in Rockford. By the time he caught me, I ducked in front of a dump truck as the 2-lane ended. He had to brake HARDand he never had the chance to pass me

Yeah, that's what I usually do, but I'll have it off almost all winter and will keep it inside. I'm installing dry breaks and doing some other work. The tank is a PITA to get off of the liner

. I took it off almost full last winter and it sucked -- should be MUCH easier empty.

If you think taking the tank off the Warrior is a hassle, I should let you come try mine. LOL

Yamaha went with cheaper and almost useless plastic fuel breaks that are almost impossible to get to (need to take off the left side cover with the "special" torx head) and the fuel breaks screw shut. Plus the wiring, etc. to the instruments on the tank. It's a BUMMER. The new fuel breaks I got will help, but still a hassle...

End of rant...

On the short list:

new dry breaks

stainless throttle cables (mine discolored and need to be re-routed)

stainless brake cable (+2 over stock, which no one makes yet, so I either make my own or find someone with a manufactured set)

Extra clutch spring

Legends forward controls (I can't get used to floorboards) (also means I have to re-locate some stuff)

And probably chrome the wheels and go 240 on the rear (if I do that, I want to make the stock bags "quick release", which means some fender work and maybe re-painting if I do too much damage)

It's a long winter... lots to do

How about you (any everyone else)... what do you have planned???
