hey guys i got the bike with the low cobra shotguns on it. stock can is in garage. i decided to modify according to bill1943's instructions. they have sort of a slasher look, but it is more of a compound mitre. they 45 toward the ground and from the front of the bike toward the rear wheel. jsut had to be different. i cut the stock baffles to about 7"on bottom pipe and 9" on top. this is as short as i could cut the pipe and be 1/4" from the mounting plate. i know yadda yadda f'in yadda. here it comes. i dont know if the mechanic adjusted the ecu on the bike when he bolted the pipes on or not. he is pretty slick and might have, "drag racer". the real thing is besides being loud enough to scare women, children, and small pets the bike seems to smell like gas. i mean exhaust wise. setting still when i rev the engine it looks sooty too. all this and i have no real sense of smell. never thought to look at the plugs. i'll look tomorow. well another thought the inside of the pipe and baffles were terribly sooty. i guess it aint to lean. jsut want a little advice on what to do other than look at the plugs.

Well I don't pretend to know much about EFI, but when I first put the Chaimbermaids on mine it did the same thing. I started it once with the can removed from the stock header pipe and it did it even worse. The BAK seemed to help a little and when I reset the ECU the problem seems to have pretty much gone away. Keep an eye on the plugs though because mine was still running lean when it was shooting black out the back on startup.
