I am just wondering why my signature picture was removed? It was being hosted on my own private webspace...

Must have violated sig pic rules in some way. Every now and then Carknee goes through and removes offending files. Most of the time, it because it was to big or animated. See rest of rules here:

Beyond that, I'm sure Carknee will chime in and tell you why, when he sees this post.

When I go through them I delete the ones that are too large or that are broken. If I remember correctly, the last time I did this there were about 10 or so signature images that were not showing up (broken).
