I'm looking to purchace a 2004 warrior that is for sale locally. It is all stock except for a speedstar exhaust. It has 12000 miles on it and it is that silver/gray with the ghost flames. The bike is extremely clean and is not damaged in any way. The only issue I see with the bike is that the rear tire has some center ware. The guy is asking 8K for the bike. I would just like some opinions to see if this seems like a good deal or not. Thanks in advance.

Well IMHO 8 may be a little much, especially with only exhaust upgrade. Mine's an 04, I bought with 7250 miles, for 7800. Check profile for what my 7800 bike came with. On the other hand, release the hounds and get started.[8D]

I looked up the NADA and it lists a value from 6300 to 8300. That is without adding any for the exhaust.

I just bought a Indigo '04, 6200 miles with PC III , speedstar intake (this is a plastic scoop that replaces the factory "coffin lid"), Samson exhaust, Yamaha T-Bars, new tires & scratchless paint. $7600 from a dealer who had her on the floor for several months. The silver w/flames is worth a premium. Very popular color. 12K is not that big a deal. It is a great negotiating point but as far as reliability goes it's irrelevant.

I think a little too much. I bought an '02 with 108 kit and head work. Had 14K miles and purchased for 8 grand. It may be a case were his wife wants the bike gone and he doesnt. Hence the high asking price. Keep shopping, there are great deals out there.

I'd say it's in the ballpark. If you can get him down a little, jump on it, but once you do you won't want to get off.
