Hello everyone, I finally saved up enough and bought myself a sweet 2005 Warrior with many mods already done to it. [/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

I have been watching the forums & scanning the Net, and decided long ago to get this bike, but only now got the bike I have been waiting for.

I thank the previous owner for his attention to detail, and look forward to adding my own to this machine!

First issue, being the short-legged rider I am, none of my riding experience can substitute for the distance between my feet and the forward controls. Does anyone have an inside track on how to get my hands on some stock front controls? or know any way to modify or replace forward control brackets to bring them back toward the stock location?

What a great ride you have there! There are many of us who would be willign to swap you controls. Check out my gallery for floorboard type controls that would be not only closer by several inches, but also much more comfortable.

Grats on a great purchase and welcome!

TW1STED, As I said in my first post, thanks a ton for this great bike. I used your pics for now, and will update with my own as I make mods to the bike. Hope you make it back on here with another bike. Can't wait to see what you create next!

Think I might try to modify the mounting brackets myself first, then powder coat and just bring them down and closer. Worse case, I'll have to replace the brackets and get stock afterall. I'll let you guys know as I do.

Welcome aboard and congrats on such a Sweet bike! Please don't destroy a set of forward controls to make them work for you. Someone will be glad to fix you up with a stock set I'm sure!

I had the same problem you had when I purchased mine. I am 5'10" and the bike came with Legend Forward Controls...a reach for someone our height. It was the beginning of the mod bug biting for me. I removed the stock air filter and installed a VBAK and eventually a custom side cover. After that I cleaned up the left side, do a search on the exact phrase "left side cleanup." Once the two sides were cleaned up it was easy and extremely comfortable for me to reach. If you have any questions about going this route they have been explained in triplicate in prior topics. Any more questions, please feel free to PM me or anyone who has done this, they and I will be more than willing to offer a hand.
