I did get a good deal but not for $8000. I had a hard time finding a new Midnight warrior, and the very few dealers that had one wanted way to much. I could find plenty of the silver ones.

Not a Ca. model. I bought it in Kansas.

Front stand is from Harbor Freight.

 

beautiful bike. and there is no way you can miss the meanstreak after riding a warrior. and why is the back tire on a honey bunches of oats box.

 

Good eye... I use the box to slide the bike over to the side of the wall. A few pictures of my 07 Mean Streak. Kosman 6.25 inch rear wheel, Muzzy pro pipe, Thunder mfg AIK, EJK Gen 3.5 FI Module, Mustang seat, Competition Werkes rear turn signals, Progressive HD rear shocks and Hiway Hawk Cyclone front headlight.

Welcome and congrats! That's not a bad lookin Meanie but the Warrior is definitely a funner ride. Besides, shaft drive and liquid cooled....that's kind of a Jap bike thing... HAHA!

 

I have to agree. Put the two bikes side by side and the Warrior wins hands down.

 

that's a good trick, the slide box. six years ago i came within a day of buying a meanstreak. then i stumbled across the warrior. too bad for the dealer, so good for me. i still see the guy who ended up with "my" meanie. i just smile to myself.

 

No turning back! Let the Rock and Warrior began!!

I had an '04 Meanie, loved the bike. Warrior is lighter,has more power and will run circles around the meanie, but it rode like a Cadillac.

 

Good to here that there is a few x Mean Streakers out there that have converted to the Warrior.

+1, same for me. Congrats on the Midnight, clearly still the fastest Warrior out there.

 

Recently picked up a "close-out" Warrior of my own. Best cc/$ ratio you will ever see! Can't understand why Yamaha stopped making them or why they still have any in stock!

Two thumbs up on the fun factor. I just love the way the warrior rails around corners. I already have a new Avon Cobra 200/55/17. The Avon should give me a little bit more ground clearance. On the Mean Streak I was running a Dunlop Q2 190/55/17 on a Kosman 6.25 inch which gave me a lot more ground clearance.

 

Welcome to the Forum and making the leap to a Warrior. I cant believe no one grabbed that bike in 3 years at a stealership. Maybe thats why cuz they wanted too much for it to begin with. Hopefully you got a good deal and let the Modding begin. Everyone else's loss is your gain. First thing to go for me would be the Stock exhaust water tank. Thats the one thing that looks ugly on the Warrior. IMO!

 

Hey wait, I just got a left over silver / new 2009. What's wrong with silver? honestly I wanted a midnight but the silver has definitely grown on me. Plus it was only one around. Welcome and congrats.
