Been lurking on here for a few weeks since I bought my 02 Warrior. Great site with lots of help. Not a new rider, but not an expert either, my former bike was a Honda Magna.

The bike: 02 Red Warrior, 6500 miles, $7200 out the door, stock with the exception of a Corbin seat (already helping me stay on the bike).

The exhaust already tried eating my right heel, so this weekend I put on Lightning extensions and Kuryakyn Switchblades.

With all that said, anyone know of a good place (on the web or here in Central Texas) where I can hear some different exhausts on a Warrior. They all seem to appeal to me...

BTW - alreay checked the photo and vid gallery. Thanks.

Welcome to the Forums cunning and congrats on the new bike. I've seen sound clips posted on here from time to time of different exhausts but never seen a dedicated place where all of them are together. Try doing a search of the forums using this link: http://www.rswarrior.com/forums/search.asp Good luck and welcome once again.

About exhausts....

I can tell you for sure, that any short, straight pipe wout baffles is going to make your bike sound like the wrath of GOD.

I put a set of wide open Samsons on my bike and I still can't wipe the smile off my face...but these pipes do present the problem of possible noise tickets. This engine with wide open straight pipes sounds mind blowing awesome...but it might be too loud for some people.

Welcome. Great bike great site. Although interesting, I think the sound clips don't help much on deciding what kind of pipes to get. It depends on how loud your speakers can get! They are all loud, and some enhance performance, some take a little away. Lots and lots of posts on the subject. I say get what looks good to you.

Warrior fest is the best place to listen but I dont thnk you want to wait that long. Some great people in the southwest ride clubhttp://rswarrior.com/forums/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=54
its better to hear them in person because audio from 115+db pipes is hard to reproduce without good equipment. Welcome and congratz, obtw my bike sounds like Vector18's first drogon vid. from the seat anyway...

Congrats on the Warrior! I just recently went through the exhaust issue with my '05. I had difficulty finding audio that really captured the true sound of what I was looking for. My dealer suggested going to a bike night to find a Warrior with different exhaust but I couldn't wait a month. I finally had to just choose between Vance & Hines or Rinehart. I went with the 'harts and I'm happier than a pig in s**t! They sound AWSOME and I lost the weight of the stock howitzer not to mention HP went up along with gas mileage. My vote is for the 'harts. Good luck and safe cruising!
