I just picked up my 2005 Midnight Warrior!! It is beautiful!! My first mod will be handlebars. The previous owner had Yamaha risers with stock bars and I am not a fan. What type and brand do most people go with on bars? Are there any black ones? Also should I keep the risers and just add different bars? I am in Houston if anyone ever wants to ride!

I don't have any of the info you want but i just wanted to say congrats on the new ride. I also have an '05 midnight. Best looking bike out there and it's not some sissy color. [/emoticons/emotion-5.gif]

Welcome. Comes down to personal preference and/or comfort dude. You're looking at new bars. Okay? Do you want them to be iternally wired or not? Depends on how much patience you have. A lot of people have the Double TT's, Baron's (because you can internally wire them, and Flanders. I think someone has even sprung for a set of Carlini's(pricey, but oooh so nice. There are a ton of choices. Anyone who has black handlebars had them painted or powdercoated. Remember, it's all about YOU! Check out the gallery and see what's what.

I own a 05' Midnight Warrior and have the Yamaha Double "T" Fat Bars. They are powder coated black to keep with the blacked out look of the bike. It cost like $60.00 to have them powder coated...If you want black bars...I'm sure there are powder coating shops in Houston...

Man those black bars are awsome! I want to powdercoat my bars and pipes. I already blacked out the little covers on the bottom of the v-twin heads where they come together, that little aluminum plate that says Yami on it. I removed the tank emblem too.
Hey Wicked, get some of your favorite wax on it, then just shine it with Ice detail spray. I detail mine once a week and it always looks brand new.
