No, it's not what you think...Yamaha is having Star Days here in Billings, MT with free demo rides on their Star motorcycles. Finally, my chance to ride the new mighty V-Max! After having 2 previous V-Max's I was really looking forward to this. Well, I had to give it some throttle to see what she had, just barely got after it and broke the tire loose for about a second or two. So the Startour guide forces me to pull to the side of the road, tells me to shut the bike off and get off. He quickly grabs the keys and proceeds to tell me to "Get Walking..." He then splits and takes off to get another Star tour guide to come back and get the V-Max.
Now I am standing there, almost thinking it is kind of comical, till it sets in that it is 95 degrees out and the realization is that I better start walking.
With my foot recently sprained, and after the 3/4 or so mile walk, when I got back my foot was hurting and I was pissed off! I proceeded to walk up to my tour guide and called him some "expletives".
I could understand about him being mad about this, but to leave someone stranded like that with a not-give-a-*** attitude, if this is how Yamaha would treat customers,to make them walk instead of giving them a rideback, I amstarting to think that maybeYamaha's aren't the way to go anymore.
The local dealer for the Victory motorcycleslets you test ride anytime, on your own, how you want to. Yeah, I know I'd be watching the rear tire of the Warrior, but I highly doubt that they would pull the kind of crap that Yamaha did today. The Victory dealer is always the most courteous and ambitious people whenever I talk to them.
