New Warriror owner with a few questions

I'm coming from a V Star 1100 Custom to a Warrior - and with 21.4 miles on the Warrior I have a few questions for those (99.99% of you) more knowledgeable with the Warrior than myself.

1. There is quite a bit of whine from the transmission/belt drive when coming to a stop. Normal? Should I call my dealer?

2. Someone here has 6" risers with flat bars pictured (don't remember who you were) does this configuration have your hands at a position closer to the rear of the bike than stock? Granted, the riding position stock is very nice, a compromise in performance/cruiser - but I like sitting back a bit more aka "chopper" style.

3. I bought the blacked-out and I love the color (or lack thereof), but I would rather have a chrome air cleaner. Before I buy a new air cleaner is there anyone who would trade their chrome for black?

Thank you all for the welcome to your group. DNGrumpy I would take you up on a very kind offer but I have entered into an agreement for a trade - he had his air cleaner changed out and if his leftover parts are phyically an equal switch I will trade with him.

I was looking forward to logging on here tonight and thoughtfully responded - but the planets must have lined up in a spectacularly strange and rare way, because I ended up with a date tonight... When it rains it storms... New Warrior - a date - what's next?!

I don't mean to depress any of you waiting for Vance and Hines staggered Big Shots - but after reading how many of you were waiting for them I started calling dealers all over in the hope someone had a new set in stock. So now it's - New Warrior, a date, and installing Big shots on Saturday. My lucky week.

Just shows you should have bought the Warrior earlier. It's obviously what's causing the good luck. Be sure to let us know about the date!![/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

I had the whine too and like some others, it became less noticable after the belt was broken in. Plus you probably just have to get used to it coming from a shaft drive. At least it is not as loud as a chain.

If you like chopper bars, check out my z-bars. Still, it is a more forward riding position than stock but comfortable for me with the 5.5" pullback risers. I was tired of seeing TT bars as well. They look great but it defeats the point of customizing your bike if it still looks like everybody elses. I say go with something more unique and you will be pleased...............dave

My plan all day was to respond individually to each person, in this post that took the time to write - I've decided due to brevity, laziness and a few beers that all you guys know you are great, I appreciate every response - my knowledge grows, thank you.

However, to OldMan I will say - The date was going well until evidently accumulating as she explained it, too many, "Red flags." I had amassed six red flags by the end of the evening, two of which were for looking at other women. I no doubt received an additional infraction for explaining I'm a guy and can't help it. This flew like a lead balloon. I suppose my final memory of dating her will be of her driving her car, stopped for a red light next to my car, looking straight ahead and ignoring me. Bye bye baby.

Big shots on Saturday
