All,

I have an '02 indigo gas tank that I took off of my bike after a little spill a couple of years ago. It has some road rash and about a half-dollar sized dent in it on one side and a small crease dent on the other side from ... wellI dont know what its from.

I have sanded the paint away from both dents about the size of a large grapefruit, filled them with bondo, and sanded them smooth. I guess now I'm ready for primer? any tips on this? can I use rattle can primer? can I spray the primer on the sanded parts and the painted parts or do i have to sand down the entire tank?

I've never done any of this before so If I have already screwed up please let me know or any tips going forward would be appreciated

thanks

Do it right, sand & primer the entire tank. Then again if your painting with rattle cans it won't make much difference how you do it.
