I'm trying to decide between V&H Bigshots and the Speed* 2-1-2. I keep reading that the Bigshots scrape, but how soon? Do you at least get some warning from the pegs? I'm leaning towards the Spd*, but they are on back order. Until then, will a VBAK(Churchkey)make a noticable difference with the stock can?

Get the Speedstar 2-1-2,it's worth the wait, but you can search around some of the site sponsors they might have it in stock and they'll give you a discount also.Sreedstar dosen't scrape like all others.

I've got bigshots. Is your bike lowered? You probably wont scrape them at stock height. If you're lowered you will scrap them ocassionally. More if you ride aggressive.

I'm eventually going to put the speedstar on mine. After seeing it in person, I just think it looks awesome on the warrior.

That's good to know, thanks guys. I like to ride a little aggessive, pegs touch down now and then. Probably more as I get used to the bike. I like the way the Bigshots look, but I'm really falling in love with the Midnight in the '06 Star Motorcycles brochure. Hopefully I can get my hands on some Spd*'s.

Umm, take a look at my bike. I have the Samson Warlord Slashers painted in flat black. I think they look pretty good and they sound great, if you like it on the louder side. [}/emoticons/emotion-1.gif]

Oh, I have scraped my pegs a couple time, but have never scraped the pipes. [/emoticons/emotion-1.gif]

Nice. Those black pipes look burly. I test rode one with Sampsons on it about a month ago in Kansas City. They sounded awsome. I don't know what else, if anything, was done to it but it sure ran strong. Convinced me to go buy one. I'm looking at 2-into-1's, or 2-into-2's with a cross over for the extra umph. There's a noticable loss of power up here at this elevation, so every little bit helps.

Thanks! I think so! [}/emoticons/emotion-1.gif]

Where abouts are you in CO? I actually bought my Warrior in Thornton, CO at Colorado Powersports. I stayed in Westminster for 2 years.

YZ check the weight of the speed* pipes in comparo to the Big shots. the muffler/canister of the speed* is heavy compared to the big shots. My bike is stock height and I have scraped the head pipe on the front cylinder a few times, just the heat shield. this happened with the foot peg folded up. i went a little too hot into a turn. I have big shots, I think the speed* would have scraped that day too. I like the sound of the big shots over the speed* too. it is your bike bro, put what you want. but if you are going to shave pounds, it is something to think of.

Kat-I'm in Durango. It's a pretty decent location for riding. When the weather cools off it's a short drive south to the desert, or over to Moab, with the YZ. This time of year there's some great mountain roads... When you finally get around the motorhomes and Harleys.[/emoticons/emotion-6.gif!]

WannaB- Loosing some poundage is always a good thing. The Spd* is going to carry that extra girth higher too. Do you have any idea how much heavier they are? Are there enough other places to shed pounds on this bike that they will add up to a noticible difference?
As for sound, I've only heard the Bigshots, and then only at idle. They did have a nice rumble to them. How do the Spd* compare?

Lagalaxy8- Did you notice any performance difference between the two?

Sorry for all the questions, but I think I have the only Warrior in town(you can't swing a dead cat without hitting a Harley here), so I don't have any way to compare in person.
