My bike does it too. I've been dinkin with it for a while now and am convinced that it not a Map problem. I've replaced the TPS, no help. I'm starting to agree with Bagster "It feels more like a single misfiring cylinder than a flat spot.
You can actually hear it miss" and now think that it is ignition related. I wonder if the speed sensor has anything to do with it because it doesn't happen with the bike static, only during rollout and never under high pwr.
Jimbomans got me thinkin about the coils now.

You have to ask yourself did my bike have an off idle skip or miss before I changed the pipes and added a pc3.If not then the problem is probably the air fuel mixture. The ideal solution would be a custom map by a trained Dynojet Tech.On my bike I have Chambermaids,Thunder air and a pc3.I enjoy changing the torque cones and downloading different maps to make the bike sound or run differently.Right now I'm running no baffles and with the Rhinehart map.Someday I may settle down with a propipe and a custom map but right now I'm happy just making alot of noise.Sorry I got off topic.a14,how many bars did you lean it,your bike will run differently after its warmed up.The most I've had to lean mine is two bars to get rid of the skip.

I went one bar. But, now if I take off early and dont completely warm up the bike, when i get to the intersection" about 7/10ths of a mile"let off and the bike dies on me.I dont have that particular prob aft it is warm though. I can live with that.

A bad TPS sensor hookup for the PCIII does the same thing. It hesitates just after idle because of slight misreads by the PCIII. Can hapen when you wash your bike. Both jimboman and I had the same experience. If the contact gets really bad the bike becomes almost unrideable. Make sure all PCIII connectors are clean. I am going to shring tube all of them.

Actually, that's an excellent idea. I would highly recommend this, especially if you run a water hose under the tank at all, especially on the right side. Unfortunately, I speak from vast experience [xx(]

I'm going to follow the excellent advice, in another thread, to move the connection under the seat and solder it. That's **** good advice! Don't know if that's my problem or not but, **** good advice.

Update:
I soldered the PCIII wire tap directly into the main bundle under the seat. Now My stumble is mostly gone, not completely but mostly.

I kinda like my hesitation. Kinda makes it sound like a high quality american made bike [/emoticons/emotion-4.gif]

After reading all of this, I still don't get a good feel for what I should try first. I have the proverbial BigShots with PCIII. I hear lean the low, rich the low, get a pro, entomb your connectors....

I HAVE A 2002 AND HAVE THE SAME HESITATION AS YOU GUYS. THE BIKE WAS DOING IT RIGHT OFF THE SHOW ROOM. WHEN I HAD MY FIRST SERVICE THE WRENCH SAID TO TURN UP THE IDLE TO ABOVE 1000 RPM I TOLD HIM THAT WAS NO SOULTION BUT A COVER UP. I PLANNED TO CHANGE PIPES SO I THOUGHT I WOULD WAIT UNTIL I HAD IT MAPPED WITH ALL THE GOODIES. WELL THAT DIDN'T WORK 3 TRIPS TO THE DYNOJET TUNER JUST TO TRY TO CONTROL POPPING AND FINALY 1 TRIP FOR A ZERO MAP. I STILL HAVE THE POPPING AND THE FLAT SPOT OFF OF IDLE. OH YEA I HAVE V&H BIG SHOTS W/BAFFLES,PCIII, AIS REMOVED AND BLANKED OFF,& BARONS BAK. I'M GOING TO A DIFFERENT DEALER THAT HAS A GUY THERE THAT HAS THREE DIFFERENT THINGS TO DO THAT SHOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. HE SAID THE GUY OWNS A WARRIOR HIS SELF AND IS MASTER ON YAMAHAS. IF I FIND THE SOULTION I WILL POST IT. BECAUSE NEW RECOMENDED NGK PLUGS DIDNT HELP AT ALL. I AM GOING TO TRY THE LOW BUTTON ON THE PCIII SOUNDS LIKE A POSSABLE CURE.

Foxfire, Im holding my ears from you screamin[/emoticons/emotion-2.gif], but I had the same prob after bigshot/pc3 install. Based on good info from various sources on this sight, went in and modified bigshot/pc3 map. Adjusted 0 line to 10, got rid of hesitation, but ran a little too rich at idle. Went back in and changed 0 line to 5 (all the way down the line) and hesitation gone, just right at idle! Worked for me, but you should know, there are many variables, try it and see if you like it, you can always change it back.
