Alright So I found some HC pistons for a steal. I've got a couple questions. I searched all over the Patrick Racing web site and couldnt find the answers so naturally I came here. The part number for this kit is an old p/n and I can't find any info on it but it's a complete kit. What do I need to do a complete HC swap. Do I need cams? Head work? Crank work? Valve springs? I know Alan H is going to look at this post and put up about 500 hundred links. I searched High Compression pistons in the forum and didnt get the answers I was looking for. Anyone that has done this mod, please help. The Patrick Racing p/n for this kit is 3004 or at least thats the number that this company is listing as an OLD STOCK item..I'M also having problems determining what the overall compression ratio is. I've got an email in to the company selling the kit..no reply yet.

Well they're most likely the 10.25:1 and if that's the case it's pretty straight forward. No need to touch the valve train. Put them un, bump the ECU a few points and you're off.

Alright when you say bump the ECU that can mean several different things. To me, it means hit it with a hammer. If your talking about increasing fuel parameters on each cylinder thru the ecu (if thats what you meant by bumping) can't I do that with a PCIII?

Dude! You beat me out on those pistons by $16.00!!!!!!!!! ****!

I'd take it to a mechanic, that you trust, and have it donecorrectly. Exterior mods are one thing, but the guts are another.
