Yea... i figure thats about right Joey... I plan about $500-$600 for my guy...They way I see it, he's saving me half'ish, and i get to learn AND I get to take pics...plus he's a friend and I am happy the money is in his pocket.

He and I did have a "real" conversation, that should the motor blow up, he is not the dealership, and would not have the "replace everything" safety net that playing $1100 to them offers... I'm fine with that.

Yes, the whole shebang, drop off the bike and hand them the box of pistons / rings, and head / base / exhaust gaskets. 11 shop hours later I'm riding away with new pistons installed.
I wish i had been closer to you, I could have saved you some serious cash. Well, if it runs good for a good long while, then money well spent i guess.:)

That's just labor.....worth every penny! when it's time for other engine tear down mods, I WILL have cams eventually, it will be cheaper for me to fly a member to Cali that has the skill!
