Are there any mechanical differences between the two. Xharley gave me the suggestion of installing one, on the rear top. Does this PVC valve have the same function as a Krank valve?[?]
Because if this does I'm about to save a ton of money, 70+ vs 2 bucks.
Any info would be much appreciated![/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

yeah, well, I'm just afraid when it breaks down, it will take something else with it. if any of the broken parts get into the engine...(I'm sure it will just stop the air flow if it breaks down) but just don't want to take a chance. But, money wise, you're definitely right. You just can't beat $2 price tag of the PCV!! [^]

You should consider re-titling this topic $70.00 vs. $2.00 what means more to you? $3000.00 Warrior engine or a $68.00 savings?

I run the Krankvent.

I hear what your saying Darkstar, and your are absolutely right the 3,000 engine, makes it a hard throw of the dice but, considering every thing I've read, I have not read one single word that states any damage done to a engine because of a PVC valve and for that matter a Krank vent, most have said they've had them for 10k plus miles with the PCV with no problems what so ever. And on the other hand, with the Krank vent its alleged to see a 1 to 2 hp increase, and theres nothing really to support it.

For now at least the PVC is installed, and I'll take the shot, I'll know when that ticking noise stops theres a problem to correct. A good cleaning with gumout or just replace it with another or maybe just the Krank vent.

Thanks for the input gents....

What has changed when you switch to a BAK that you now blow oil everywhere and you need a Krankvent??? I would imagine that nothing would change right? Or is it that the stock air box has a provision for sucking back the pressure built up in the head that now since the air box is removed, so is the vacuum source to relieve the pressure in the crankcase/head?

Nothing has changed, I just a finicky old coot that don't like the mess that was starting to build up on my rear swing arm from the hose I had running back there and I tried shortening it by trying to install a breather filter in order to soak up the oil released and wound up pinching that darn hose cause a build up of back pressure that was sending out light blue smoke out my pipes, corrected it and then the conversation picked up about the valves.
the answer, A, final answer......(who wants to be a millionaire flash back)

OK... after all this talk, I decided I have to get a Krank Vent, just for the peace of mind.
On ET-Performance's site, I'm assuming for the warrior, is the Metric Cycle kit the one we want for $75? Does anyone know which hose size (3/8 or 1/2) we need off the top of their head?

Suggestions:
1)Clean those PCV or Krank Valves everytime you change your oil. It clogs.
2)Install them nearest to the Crank vent not to the end of the hose.
3)Want more vacumm from it? Install the end of that hose (with a Krank Valve or PCV )to the exhaust of your machine in angle.

Now I need to ask...what does that mean?

That would substitute the vacumm effect from the airbox on stock Warrior without clogging the the fuel injection system.
