To all of the riders that have made all the performance mods I ask you this question. If you where to list your performance mods in order 1 through 10 what would your list look like?. Now take in to consideration a limited budget spread out over a year. I just bought a 05 Midnight and passed the break in miles..........and I'm ready to start......

(1) AIS removal.
(1a) VBAK or BAK (up to you what make etc)
(2) Chop the plastic crap that holds the license plate.
(3) New muffler or entire exhaust system.
(4) How tall are you? Might want to extend the front pegs? I know the 04's and 05's are better but?
(5) Passengers? A kit to make the passenger pegs more comfortable.
(6) How do you like the stock seat?
(7) How do you like the bars?
(/emoticons/emotion-11.gif Do you like the stock signals?
(9) More advanced engine mods? How brave are you?
(10) TURBO

2) bak
3) ais----2&3 are easier to be done together
4) chain drive/pulley --- best for the butt dyno
the rest are for show for me
5) tricky air
6) 250 tire
7) bars

I saw the 05 midnight up close the other day. Sweet bike stock. I would still change the stock exhaust even though it look sick black. Better than ours stock. Next, I would go with the 240+ wheel mods. I'm saving up for that one now. Anybody got a 240 kit for sale, PM me. I go for looks more so than performance. Only because the Warrior comes with great performance stock. So is it show or go?[/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

SpeedStar kit. Takes a while to get. Factory warranty (90 days only) but better than not. SStar pipe does not drag (pro pipe does)
so I think that any extra power the propipe MIGHT put out is useless for twisty wringing. My OPINION is that it is the most reasonably priced and long term reliable overall way to boost stock power by 20-25 %.

P.S. I don't recommend the unfiltered or minimally filtered air the SStar kit offers.

Decide on the genre you're going for. Sleeper, pro-stock, cruiser, etc.

#1. Exhaust. Get rid of the vacuum cleaner.
#2. Intake. BAK your choice.
#3. PCIII. To make the most of the exhaust and intake mods.
#4. Seat. Get your booty where you want it and as cushy as you want it.
#5. Pegs. Extenders, forward controls, floorboards, it's up to you.
#6-8. Any other performance mods you want to make, make now. Turbos, blowers, Mr. Fusion, impulse drives, ion disrupters, 50 cal on a handlebar mount, you decide. It will shape the way the bike looks for #9 and 10.
#9-10. Wheels and paint. Go with a wider tire and/or custom rims, paint jobs, fairings, etc.

He did say PERFORMANCE mods twice. So I'd say.
1. BAK
2. AIS (just bacause you may as well do it all at the same time)
3. Pipes (do your homework)
4. High compression pistons (big bang for the buck)
5. Head work
6. Valves at same time as 5.
7. now you're ready for a cam
8. PC111
9. Custom map for PC111 (or don't bother getting it)
10. If you have money to burn, big bore kit and carrillo rods.
Or just say to **** with it and go Nitros. Or maybe a turbo. Speed cost's money, how fast do you want to go?

All great suggestions mentioned prior. I think Ozz has it best. I've done all (except for the PC3) stage 1 mods on my Midnight and she's running great. The other mods (bore kit, 240+ kit, etc.) are pricey and should be considered down the line IMO. Be careful!! This site is addictive and these guys are nutz (in a good way), but the real hard core dudes spend big $$$ and time on their rides. good luck in your choices and keep the pics current in your gallery for all to see!

Thank you to all who responded to my request. it looks like 99 % of the up grades are to go fast straight line. all the mods will work for me but I also like to leave the cafe' bikes behind. you know ride the twisties. i love the way the bike handles the curves. any info on the tire size i hear the bigger the rear tire the less handling ability.........ps to king warrior when I do my exhaust I will let you know about my stock pipes......
