Probably just a dead or wasted battery but...

Back in the good old days (warm weather) every now and then I would go to start my bike and it would either turn over once and stop, or sorta strain to get started. Most other times no problem at all, so I figured it was the neons I installed on the bike (kinda half asses i might add) So I ripped them all off, and didnt really have any more troubles. Till now I go to start my bike to let it run for awhile and its like the battery is really low and I get a crazy clicking noise by the fuse box like a circuit breaker, so I throw the charger on it @ 10 amps, let it charge for awhile and get the same thing. Is the clicking noise at the fuse box a normal condition for a battery that might be defective? Or is it a sign of another problem?

Thanks,
Ryan

Also check the battery cables themselves to make sure that they haven't come loose as well. I've had that happen once on a group ride and was kinda embarassing....LOL The only time mine gives me any trouble is if it sits for a full day or more (very rare..hehe) or if the engine is cold and it's cold outdoors. Every now and then I hit the battery overnight with a battery tender (battery trickle charger) just for good measure. Hope you find the problem and it's simple.

If all else fails, have your battery checked. I had my Warrior 5 months and had trouble starting it too. No clicking, but the bike would turn over slow, than stop completely for a second. At that point, the gages went dark and the bike started to turn over again. It would start and run fine until the next time I started it. An additional "feature" of this problem, my trip meters would zero out. The trip meter was the one thing I really used to track my mileage between pit stops. Got to be a real pain. Went to the dealer twice with this problem. They checked all the cable and connections and found no problem. I insisted they change the battery and I have had no more problems starting the bike. Just my 2 bits!
