Di d anyone get there bars from broward motorsports, If so do they know that they are wrong and what are they going to do about it.

 

Just call Yamaha CS or the place you bought them to return them now or when they get it figured out.

 

Just got a call from my dealer. Talked to the engineers and suppliers about the bend bars...HERE is the straight scoop. They said the specs in the catalog are incorrect and that they are going to change them. They did say the bars they sent out are wrong. The new ones should be done this week and sent out next week. The width will not be 26 inches. The correct width will be 30 inches, not the 34 of the longhorn bars. Don't know what the pull back will be. Just curious what is the width of our standard warrior bars anyone know off the top of their heads??[^]

 

They are 34" these are just a 1/2 inch wider.

Arthur...they said they would have them to the dealer in a week. Same part number...they just had them posted wrong with the wrong specifications. Arthur, are you saying the stock bars are 34 inches wide??

 

yes 34" or 35" for the stock bars. It depends on where you measure them from.

The problems are not because it's a new model bike. I had the same types of backorder problems with my V-Star. They advertise parts which you rely on their having when you order the bike, but then after you buy the bike, you find out it will take months or longer to get them. The biggest frustration was my saddle bag supports for the V-Star. Couldn't take a decent road trip until they decided they would ship them. I managed to get directly to a factory rep that found them for me. I think it's negligent and possibly intentional misrepresentation. We should be compensated or they should post on their web site what parts are available at any given time.

 

well said bruno. It is a fact that the parts books go out before they have the parts.
