If the gaskets in the exhaust ports look good, you should be good to go. There are plenty of guys on this site who have used the gaskets over and over again. Of course, if you want to be safe, you could always buy new gaskets. But its not necessary.

Just make sure you torque them down to specs: 20 n.m. for the front and 24 n.m. for the rear.

USE a torque wrench!!! If you overtighten the exhaust, bad things can happen to the flanges.

You rock! You are always very quick to respond to my threads. While there are many VERY helpful people here, you always seem to be one of the first to respond. We must keep the same hours! [/emoticons/emotion-2.gif] Anyway, thanks again.

 

LMAO.. I too have been banging around in the garage today. I'm working to put my bike in hibernation for the next 7 months. Tomorrow I'm going to give her a bath and put her to bed until I get back from deployment at the end of July.

I'm just glad I could help out.

BTW, check the torque on the bolts again after a few rides just to make sure they didnt loosen up on you. They shouldn't, but every once-in-a-while you have that one pesky bolt that comes slightly loose and loses a few n.m. on the torque.
