Do Yamaha really expect each and every one of us to stop riding our bikes and wait until they can be bothered to get their s..t together and ship out the appropriate parts to the dealers to take care of their mistake??. I understand they are trying to keep us safe and all but would a car manufacturer get away with this? Is it just because it is assumed that a motorcycle is a 'toy' and not necessarily ones only means of transportation? I have been involved in recall situations before but never had to wait for parts like this. I am all for taking my bike in to be corrected but I can't yet. I am moving house in 3 weeks and I expected to ride my bike to my new home. (30 miles away). If not modified by then, what to do? Just ride slow maybe? Good job I wasn't moving across country eh?
