I'm still riding. Will probably go out today if it's not raining. If transmission lock ups were even a smallproblem I believe you would be seeing it in the news. They always make the smallest thing seem like the end of the world. I bought 2 or 3 sets of the Firestone tires everyone was afraid of during that "big scare" and never had the first hint of trouble. Anyway my recall parts came in last week but I'm still waiting on the cam and pistons from OE.
