What's up guys? I'm Bobby, I recently purchased a 2002 liquid silver Warrior. I was wondering if anyone could give me a few pointers about my newly aquired passion. I read some things about a transmission recall and was wondering if someone could tell me what that is all about. I love my new ride and want to do many things to it any information reguarding the types of mods that are out there would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for any responces.

Welcome to the madness! Take the time to look at some galleries and you will see a plethora of different tastes and uniqueness that is found no-where else - guaranteed! I have found, in my searching, about 30 differnet sites to purchase aftermarket products and have yet to be disappointed with vendors that I've bought products from. Modding your ride is half the fun, of course the other half is riding your new prize. Search, search, search and you will not be disappointed. Invest the time and you'll find the best prices. I've spent quite a few hours doing so and have found the best prices compared to many others that I've read about by doing so. You'll probably hear suggestions along the lines of: aftermarket seats, wide-tire kits, handlebars, engine upgrades, air-intakes, exhaust, and the like. Have fun with it - that's the point! Good luck!!

Yah, it's a little different...

WELCOME.

Now...

Take your time on mods.. think thru what your overall goal or 'look' is to be.. then buy/mod accordingly.

Welcome!! Read this thread and get the Yami phone number. You call, ask about the recall, provide your VIN and they'll tell you if it's completed. If not, do a search and you can find out a lot of ideas what to get done since it'd be free labor.

Also on the trany recall the repair/dealer should have added a * mark above the VIN number on the steering tube. Not all did this but it is a place to start. I also called the Yamaha line and they verified the completion and the date it was done. Happy riding and welcome.

Good day to you BParis! I to just bought a Warrior, and you won't find more info anywhere else then this 4M [not to mention the COOL CATS that hang out here!].

I would highly suggest using the "Search" feature in this 4M. It's on top of page, second row down, and third from end. It is a really good search engine and can save you tons of time tracking down info, plus maybe save you $$$ w/sound advise.

Warrior is one badass bike!
