Is it possible to remove the stock muffler at the canister, leaving the whole header peice intact, without cutting? Ive noticed some pictures in the forum where people have removed the muffler section and just added a tip. Is this a safe way to run your system? Can valves, or anything else internal bedamaged running without the muffler? Will I have backpressure issues?

Basicly im asking if I can remove the muffler in such a way that allows me to put it back on if I dont like the way it sounds/runs.

what ^he^ said.

There are no valves, or cones, or restrictors or anything else in the headers. Once the can is off, if you dont like the sound of the open header pipes, there are some slip on after market pipes that sound pretty good. Personally I like the Dale Walker pipe but the sound of the Road House is awesome (for a slip-on).
