under the seat. left side. as far as i know: upper tank: 12 litres, lower tank 3 litres. when upper tank empty, reserve-light goes on. fuel delivery for injection etc. is from lower tank

 

Yeah, it's not a reserve in the sense that you have to switch to it like a dirt bike. It's really just a small tank under the seat that holds the fuel pump. All fuel is pulled from this tank and the main tank on top gravity feeds the lower tank.

 

yes it has a reserve tank, you know when it's being used when the trip meter switches to the fuel trip meter, and the fuel light goes on. Then you have any where from 18 to 28 miles to find a gas station, depending on which gear you are in. I recommend finding a fuel up in less than 18 miles, because the beast is a beach to push. lol

 

I've actually run out of gas with only 15 miles on the odometer. So to be safe, I'd say 12 - 18 miles, but that's on my bike. Yours will be different.
