Well since we are already discussing WFIII, I felt it was appropriate to start the Return to the Dragon II thread as well. [/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

This trip is for anyone who wants to attend but especially for those that may not have been able to make the big April gathering or just didn't get enough of what the good ole NC/TN mountains have to offer. [/emoticons/emotion-5.gif]

The dates will be September 14th-17th. Labor Day weekend is the first weekend of the month and I figured it'd be best to allow a weekend in between so as to make it easier for more people to attend. Besides, the Fall color should be spectacular right about then.

This is officially a four day event from Friday til Monday but last year some came earlier and left later. For the sake of making it easier to get together as a group, I will post events/rides and where people are staying on these dates only.

Make sure and post when you plan to arrive, where you are staying and when you plan to leave.

Stay tuned for further information as the situation develops! [/emoticons/emotion-5.gif]

wyhah road is really awsome along with 28south to franklin then 64 over to cashiers and pic up215 over to the BRP and run it back over toward cherokee.

Ideas, we got em - Cruismissle has a few good loop ideas in him also

we had talked about cade cove but there are so many cagers there from what I hear, its not much fun
Funny i just looked at the 28 215 BRP route. Go by Bridal Falls. What ever we do we need to go by the Warrior Motel for the obligatory pic.

NC1310 wyhah rd is prettier and has a mountian lake (than 28 although it is an awsome road too) - you have to watch for some gravel in the turns but is has some spectacular views. instead of making the right on 28 you go down old murphy road about 5 miiles out of franklin it has the tallest fall I have seen so far also. On 64 is dry falls about 1.5 miles from bridal viel and is quite impressive, About 1.5 times bigger then bald river falls. its about a 1/4 hike in the woods off 64

JD had an idea , lets go somewhere and get lost and hit roads at random, might be fun too.

Hey guys, sounds like things are shaping up for the trip. For now I'm going to bow out of this one. I'd rather say I can't make it now than wait until the last minute. There's still a possibility I might go, but for now count on me not making it. If things shape up in time for the trip so that I can make it after all then worst case I'll just camp out of the back of my truck for a couple of days. Don't worry, nothing's wrong, just don't think the timing on this trip is going to work out for me. If I sell the other house and get a few other things taken care of around here then I may reconsider and head out that way. Either way, y'all enjoy the trip and ride safe.

Could you guys stand a little company in the form of a Rocket III rider? I have a little more time on the bike now than I did for Warrior Fest II and I'm feeling more comfortable on it. I would have to leave Sunday for the wife to go to work, she's on third shift now, ugh, I hate not having her here at night. But we could come up friday and hang out 'til sunday in the a.m. So think about it, that is if ya'll don't mind having your butts handed to ya by a crippled[B)]man on a bagger.[/emoticons/emotion-2.gif]

I've been discussing it over with the wife and it looks like we are in, and will probably atay at the Kickstand Lodge. I'd love to have the warrior rebuilt by the but fundage is goin to prevent it. I have located all of the parts and have all but the front fender and headlight in hand. It may turn into a winter project.
