This might sound like a stupid question, but if the Roadstar and the Warrior both have the same engine, why does the Warrior have the extension piece on the rear exhaust pipe ? Theres some nice exhausts for the Roadstar, but not the Warrior, and I wanted to know if they would still fit.

they do not have the same engine. check the exhaust ports on the roadstar and the warrior and they are in different positions on the heads

The Roadie 1600 had another motor. The Roadie 1700 has the same motor but its got a carb instead of FI.

Im no expert but it looks like the Roadie has alot more clearance between the oil tank and the exhaust. Maybe the added the elbow on the Warrior because its nearly impossible to get to the exhaust studs otherwise

Example: You can buy a Velosity stack and mount for the roadstar and its 3/4" to short on the warrior..

Although the 2008+ R* is injected too, the cylinders are different. For example, on all the R* motors, the front header enters on the side of the jug. The R*W front header enters on the front of the jug. There are other differences, like the pathway the exhaust follows along the engine and frame to the swing arm differs.
